Tracy’s Diary is an adventure with a quest to find what people want and need to maintain and/or establish a life of “quality.” Its pages explore the passions of people through inspiring moments in their lives, and facilitate cultural responsiveness through the storytelling of people and reciprocity, as well as the understanding of other realities as they are learned.
Cognitive stimulation fits in when Tracy Boyd, M.A., host and diary author, talks to her diary. She uses self-reflection and encourages viewers to use this practice as we appreciate the existence of others. Her living biography of daily events and experiences are kept alive with visuals and sounds, including song and music. It contains life-coaching strategies with approaches that address life’s issues, and brings positive perspectives and resources for challenge. As food, health, nutrition, and fun are important in life, the exploration of good eating and healthy living practices are among the journeys we will take. The show focuses on the adaptation of good habits that promote life, enjoyment, and fun, while reducing risk factors. This is where health secrets are revealed and goals are organized.
Tracy’s Diary shares hope amongst challenges and life enrichment, while exploring various paths to destiny, especially for those who think it’s too late for a fulfilled life of health, wellness, and success. Physical fitness and socio-emotional development are essential goals in Tracy’s Diary, which is facilitated by pointing out goal-oriented outcomes as a result of modeling positive behavior.
Program content includes the implementation of prevention and intervention, both of which promote physical and emotional health, personal well-being, and longevity. Even our “vocals” will gain exercise as we sing along with Tracy. Additionally, through the opportunity to be heard and validated, guests share what they value and viewers will be able to see life from the perspective of others.
Tracy’s Diary is designed to nurture the mind, soul, and body. As you dance with Tracy and one of her choreographers, learn new steps; or participate in a 30-day menu of good health for proper nutrition and calorie counting. You may even eat one of Tracy’s favorite dishes while learning new recipes, exercise with her, or talk with her during a studio taping. Viewers only need to focus their attention on actions that will enable and allow them to flow and live in the optimal experiences that are available to them through Tracy’s Diary. And, if you miss an opportunity to see the show as it broadcasts, you can follow-up online.
About the series host, Tracy Boyd…
Tracy Boyd is the Creator, Executive Producer, and Director of Tracy’s Diary. Fully recognizing her creativity makes up a great portion of discovering who she is and knowing that it’s okay to be the person she was created to be, which is why she has embarked on a journey toward lifetime achievements.
This California native was born in San Francisco, but brought up in Sacramento. As she grew up in church, singing in the choir, that charisma has stuck with her. She credits career life choices to a “God-given calling.” Until now, Tracy has been a hidden gem. She has spent time working on the talents she was blessed with by polishing her skills and perfecting her gifts.
At a young age, Tracy knew that show business was her goal in life. As a child, she started singing and dancing around the house, practicing with simulated microphones. She took piano, ballet, and tap dance lessons. In junior high school, she played alto saxophone. Ultimately, Tracy went from writing poems to writing lyrics. At the encouragement of others, she posed for mock fashion shoots with home cameras and attended three modeling schools. Of course, the commercials in the mirror were on the list of “do’s” for this aspiring star. Instead of watching TV, she preferred to listen to music. In fact, she recalls that: “I brought the neighbors out of their houses once when I was a child; I walked down the street singing Chaka Khan’s rendition of “Every Women” at the top of my lungs.”
Tracy’s projects include growing the nonprofit youth organization she founded, the Tracy Boyd Project, Inc.; completing a CD she started; writing; producing quality family television programming; and hosting Tracy’s Diary.
Tracy’s educational background…
Tracy is a twice-graduate of California State University, Sacramento (CSUS): first, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, Media Communication (2004); and, second, with a Master of Arts in Education School Psychology (2010). In addition, she holds an Associate in Arts degree in Communications Media TV Production (2001) from Cosumnes River College. Over the years, she has also received numerous honors and achievement awards.
The smorgasbord of courses Tracy completed in college ranges from psychology, voice, dance, audio engineering, musical instrument, digital interface (midi), piano, percussion, journalism, the German language, and an internship at a television station—to name but a few. Collectively, these courses fed her appetite and added to her spirit of being herself. With the character she has developed over the years, she is now being who she was meant to be!
