is a 30-minute, award-winning, one-on-one interview program spotlighting national and local, top-named celebrities from all walks of the entertainment, show business, and political worlds. Produced in New York City by Quest Media Entertainment, Inc., Profiles was selected and won 2009, 2010, and 2011 Telly Awards, the premier award that honors outstanding television programs internationally.

 

Viewed by an audience consisting of virtually millions of discerning, well-educated, and successful people, Profiles is hosted by Mickey Burns—a favorite among celebrities since he started hosting the show in 1999—and filmed at Ashford and Simpson's “Sugar Bar” restaurant in the heart of New York City.

LATOYA JACKSON to Appear on PROFILES

PROFILES host Mickey Burns interviews La Toya Jackson, the fifth of the famous Jackson siblings. Born into America's royal family of music, La Toya couldn't help but be in the glare of the celebrity spotlight for most of her life.

 

The 80's saw her rise to international success with the critically acclaimed album "Heart Don't Lie", and her best selling spread for Playboy Magazine sold over 8 million copies. Today, La Toya is a successful author, television personality and businesswoman.

 

 

Fresh off her successful appearance on "The Celebrity Apprentice" La Toya is celebrating the release of her latest book titled "Starting Over" in which she candidly shares heartfelt and shocking stories about her brother Michael as well as, her thoughts regarding his death and legacy.

 

Like Michael, La Toya experienced an upbringing that made her vulnerable to exploitation and her own journey led to hell and back in an abusive marriage.

 

 

 

In this interview with Mickey Burns, La Toya reveals how anyone - regardless of fame, fortune or status can be trapped in a cycle of abuse and discusses how she was able to find the courage to rebuild her shattered sense of self, her career and her relationship with her family.

PROFILES host Mickey Burns interviews Tia Carrere, perhaps most widely known for her role as Cassandra Wong in the feature film "Wayne's World" and as Sydney Fox in the hit TV Series "Relic Hunter".

 

As the most exotic actress in Hollywood, In the 90's Tia was named one of the "50 Most Beatiful People in the World" by People Magazine.

 

Tia Carrere played Mike Myer's girlfriend Cassandra in "Wayne's World" and she was the sexy villain in "True Lies" opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger.

 

 

Additionally, Tia is also an accomplished singer. In 2009, she won a Grammy Award for her album "Ikena", and has been nominated again this year for her album, "Huana Ke Aloha".

 

A native of Hawaii, Tia was discovered by the parents of a local producer while shopping at a Waikiki grocery store and was cast in the movie "Aloha Summer". Her first major break came in 1985 when she won the role of Jade in the Soap Opera "General Hospital". Tia Carrere has appeared in dozens of feature films and has made numerous TV appearances.

 

In 2002, she provided the voice of Nani in the Disney animated feature "Lilo and Stitch". Four years later Tia further demonstrated her versatility when she appeared as a contestant on "Dancing With The Stars", eventually placing 6th.
