Rat Rod Television, which started production in 2010, is hosted by commercial writer, producer, director, and national radio talk show host, Rick Willis. Chet Simmons, writer, producer, director, editor, and videographer; and Bob Patrick, producer, director, photographer, and cinematographer, complete this multitalented team of award-winners for this half-hour reality television series.
The series shows the hard work that goes into making a quality Hot Rod or other types of cars into Classic Autos. Each episode includes everything from the design to the finished product, and the problems encountered along the way to get them completed.
Rat Rod Television documents the struggles to build Hot Rods and Custom Vehicles under extremely tight deadlines. The episodes show the design and building of the Alumatub; a 1961 Impala Bubbletop; a 1963 Chevy Corvette Stingray; a 1942 Woodie; and, the complete Rat Rod Magazine Tour. One episode also includes a 1957 Oshkosh Cement Truck and Gary Johnson’s 1927 Roadster.
Ms. Redd - Jennifer Affronti, Rat Rod’s co-host, takes you to Viva Vegas Rockabilly weekender, where we meet Jimaleen King and her 1931 Ford Truck. Rat Rod also has viewer contests during which the viewer sends in a photo of their Rat Rod, along with its brief history.
Rat Rod Television is looking for interesting stories and people in the process of building a Rat Rod so that the series can follow their progress.
